How variable-height reels create the ways count
A conventional 5×3 slot has a locked grid. A Megaways spin does not. Reel 1 might land 2 symbols while reel 4 lands 7. The visual height changes every spin, and so does the combination count. Cascades and the uncapped-multiplier sentence
After a ways win, winning symbols are typically removed and new symbols drop in (cascade, avalanche, or reaction — same loop). A horizontal tracker reel, when the title has one, shifts to fill its gaps and can feed another cascade. Multiple wins from one paid spin are normal in this engine.
