A bonus balance is not automatically withdrawable cash. Read the promotion’s own terms before accepting it: the multiplier is only one part of the calculation. The starting amount, eligible games, contribution rates, deadline and withdrawal conditions can all change what an offer requires.
Work out which balance is multiplied
For a hypothetical CAD 20 bonus with 30× bonus-only wagering, required qualifying turnover is CAD 600. If the same multiplier instead applies to a CAD 100 deposit plus that CAD 20 bonus, the requirement is CAD 3,600. These are arithmetic examples, not current offers. Neither turnover figure is a forecast of how much you will lose or a reason to keep gambling.
At a hypothetical 20% game contribution, CAD 50 wagered credits only CAD 10 toward qualifying turnover. A game excluded by the promotion credits nothing. Also check maximum bet, eligible modes, expiry time and whether a new deposit or a withdrawal cancels the bonus.
Why the actual terms matter
An archived PlayNow promotion conditions PDF gives a concrete 30× example and describes winnings held until wagering is completed. It is a historical rules example, not an available offer. OLG’s general promotion terms explain that a withdrawal can remove bonuses still subject to wagering. These examples belong to different services; do not combine them into a single set of terms.
Decide before accepting
Save the exact terms and the expiry date, distinguish cash from restricted funds, and check the service’s provincial eligibility. If completing the requirement would exceed your original spending or time limit, do not attempt it. A larger bonus is not necessarily more usable, and wagering through a bonus never guarantees a net profit.
